FULL BIOGRAPHY. you do not remember a life before tam. she had been there for you even from the first time you met in kindergarten; shouting at freddie when he tried to snatch your crayons away from you, defending you like she'd come to do for many years afterwards. you were inseparable, and for a long time you adored that; content in your world with her, loving her fierceness above all else: finding it exhilarating, a fresh escape from everything else you knew. she inspired you, helped you, made you feel alive, and you swore that you would be friends with her forever.your dad left when you were only eight, but this only strengthened your bond with tam. you spent almost all your time with her while your mother worked late to cover the bills, and she became someone you came to rely on for everything. but as time went on, you started to change. the boisterous side to your friend started to become less entertaining and more grating; the loneliness you felt as an outsider beginning to play on your mind. soon you started to wish for something else. something more. new friends, new hobbies. a boyfriend, even. and once you were accepted onto the cheerleading squad at hawkins high school, you began to realise that those things may now be a possibility.tam didn't approve, though, and why would she? she always hated the people you started to call your friends and the lives they led. but that didn't stop you from wanting to join them, and so you fell apart. leaving her behind, you stepped into this new world you'd found for yourself, convinced that it was what you wanted. but no amount of new friends, parties or outings could ever really feel the gap in your life without her. you missed her more than anything, but you were too stubborn to admit it, and so you started to avoid her altogether, hoping that somehow blocking her out of your mind would make everything else vanish.
